Other than very minor crazing noted on the lid there are no chips, cracks or other damages to note on this Holt Howard Classic - there is a dime size factory blemish (smudge?) to the white color on the jar which looks to be underneath the high gloss finish. Still, a very attractive and collectible (& complete)piece from one of Holt Howard's most popular sets! Measuring about 4" tall, 3 1/4" in diameter at it's flared opening and 4 1/8" in diameter at the base, this condiment jarcomes with it's own slotted cover, measuring about 2 3/4" in diameter. It is designed with a bright orange knob which extends about 3/4" for easy handling. Just like the oneGrandma used to serve her fresh, home made strawberry jamto us @ the breakfast table! The crowing Red Rooster head pictured on one side of this jar, along with the bright gold lettering - "Jam'n Jelly" are in excellent condition - no discoloration or missing paint! Designed by Robert Howard, the first pieces of this set titled "COQ ROUGE", which is French for Red Rooster were released in 1960 ~ this piece is marked on the bottom ~ "1962 Holt Howard". The Holt Howard company continued to introduce additional items to this pattern through 1964.
