It measures about 9 3/4" across at the furthest points and is 6 1/4" from bottom to top. It would look wonderful sitting on a plate support (As showninour picture), hung on the wall or just sitting on a table. As we already mentioned it's beauty is overwhelming ~ it has no damages or flaws whatsoever! The thick white china is painted with a design of an oriental nature. The two graceful looking birds appear to be parrots or in the parrot family. They are blue with orange and white underbellies, have long tail feathers that are green and orange at the tip, and have a flowing crown on their heads. The detail that is in the entire painting is extravagant! The branches that these birds are roosting on are in full bloom with white flowers that stand out with their gray outline and yellow centers. At the lower portion of the plate is a large plant with heavier foliage that is in bloom also, but with two large red flowers with yellow centers. The plate is made in such a way that it has fold out creases just as a real hand fan would. It is completely trimmed with gold on the outer rim. On the back is a printed "Fine China", "Jay" and "Japan". This highly decorative platewould be a wonderful addition to any home, office or collectors case.
