The GOLD TONE case is marked "GROUND LEATHER CASE MADE IN AUSTRIA". The 3 3/4" long file is marked "SPECIAL TRIPLE CUT GERMANY". Two tools are made of BAKELITE - one of those is marked "AUSTRIA" One tool has a BAKELITE handle and is marked "GERMANY". The tweezers are marked "AUSTRIA". The missing tool is probably a pair of scissors but we can't say for sure. Measuring about 2 1/2" by 4 3/8" when closed, the case does show signs of it's age with wear on each side, although the retro designs on one if it's sides and the manufacturer's logo are better than average condition. The "clasp" snap works perfectly, as do the hinges on the case. The inside of the case is lined with a red felt like material, complete with SIX tool holding sections made of the same ground leather material that highlights the outside of the case. There is minor wear noted at each corner where the case hinges are located. The tools are in good condition with light scratches and some surface rust on the file and tweezers. The BAKELITE surfaces are in very nice condition! This VINTAGE manicure set needs only one tool to be complete! Be sure to add it to your collection!
